How it all started.
A Quick History of Seattle’s Apartment Data Chasm
In December of 2017, Dupre + Scott closed its doors. It had been the trusted source for reliable apartment data in the Seattle market for 38 years. An unbelievably diverse number of stakeholders relied on that information. To name a few: Institutional Lenders, City and County Housing Authorities and governmental entities, the University of Washington, major Developers, and the entire Commercial Real Estate brokerage community. When this information is widely available, it benefits all of those involved. With better information, owners, property management companies, developers and policy makers can make better decisions on how to best serve the market, create efficient operations and create value. Commercial Analytics has been formed by Brian O’Connor, MAI, CRE, of O’Connor Consulting Group, Candice Chevaillier of SVN Whitecap and Jim Bowles of Lee & Associates to replace, continue and evolve the research of rent and vacancy data, expense information, development tracking, and investment sales. Commercial Analytics will collect apartment data in the Puget Sound Region, including the Tri-County Area (King, Pierce, Snohomish) as well as Kitsap and Thurston counties. |
